Lord make me an instrument of your peace
Today 10/06 reflection is so fitting in this troubled world. 2 days ago on October 4, we Catholics celebrated the feast of St Francis of Assissi, who is known for his contribution to doing works of peace. The prayer you shared is attributed to him (even though some might argue that he didn't actually write it), but the point to keep in mind is that as Christians we are called to be instruments of peace to those around us. We might be the only peacemakers our families, friends, coworkers, neighbors know. Nonetheless we should strive to live up to this calling.
These words have been put into music by so many authors and sung in different voices or melodies. I will just share one of them that I find soothing and calm, just as peaceful and inviting to peace as the lyrics.
