Focus Friday Comments

Today Friday 02/24, I am grateful to God for 8 days post surgery. Around this time a week ago, i had surgery done. Throughout the entire preparation, surgery and even more while I'm recovering i can only thank God for writing the story of my life. He writes straight with cricked lines, and my story has a lot of them. In fact if I were the one writing it, I would not have included or gone through certain paths. But then again, I live by faith not by sight. And I could even add, "those who believe are those who conquer the world" 1 Jn 5, 5.

As I write this comment I am reminded of the definition of faith. "Faith is confident assurance concerning what we hope for, and conviction about things we do not see" (Heb 11, 1). Therefore we are to live with the confident assurance that God always have our best interests, even in trials when we do not see an "happy" ending. Easier said than done. That is why we pray for the grace to wake up every morning with the opportunity to start over and better than yesterday as we walk in faith.
