Fake vs Authentic love
Beautiful reflection in this Thoughtful Thursday video. And to say this idea came from a children's book. I understand better why The Lord calls us to have the purity and innoncence of a child.
Contrasting fake and authentic love invites us to ponder for a moment. The Devil is indeed very sneaky and utilized many subterfuge to fool us. Many have fallen into his trap and would even justify their love of country, religion, or self. But what is true love? How do we recognize it? How do we cultivate it? This is where we pray, reflect, meditate and discern because we cannot defeat evil on our own. We need God's grace, strength, wisdom, patience and protection to recognize evil, call it out, not fall into it and fight it. We keep praying for each other.
