Request: First of all, thank you for this forum where believers can come together to reflect on God’s goodness and Word and share their hearts of praise and prayer requests, such a blessing!!! Our family is asking for prayer for our son Derek who continues to struggle with addiction to alcohol and mental illness PTSD from Afghanistan. We have been on this journey with him for 7 years and there have been break throughs but he now has a family and new baby. Derek does not get support from any groups like AA for his addiction or Wounded Warriors for accountability as he says it doesn’t work or too busy. His family is on the verge of leaving him and my husband and I have done everything we can but it is now up to Derek. Please join us in prayer that Derek’s eyes and heart be open to God’s will in his life and the guidance that He will provide. May the Holy Spirit fill him and open those closed eyes and heart and heal him from the inside out!!!
